Barking Gecko Theatre (BGT) WA’s specialist theatre company for children and families is delighted to announce a new two-year partnership with Step Beyond Strategy, a profit-for-purpose, impact-driven strategy consultancy.
Barking Gecko Theatre CEO & Executive Producer Helen Hristofski said “we are delighted to have Step Beyond Strategy as our Strategic Advisory Partner. Partnering with a for-purpose organisation like Step Beyond ensures the relationship is based on an alignment of values and a shared commitment to the Western Australian community.”
Our partnership will strengthen Barking Gecko’s organisational capability so we can step forward from today’s challenges with confidence to achieve our business strategy and work towards a thriving future.
“Witnessing the severe distress of the arts and culture sector due to the impact of COVID-19, there has never been a more critical time for the business community and philanthropists to be supporting our arts and cultural institutions,” said Janelle Marr, Managing Director, Step Beyond Strategy.
“Creativity is a powerful antidote in the face of adversity. As our community navigates the roadmap to COVID-19 recovery, organisations like Barking Gecko will play a unique role in bringing children safely and joyfully together again.”
Janelle and her husband Adam Marr, Co-Founder of Step Beyond Strategy have two daughters who have both been members of Gecko Ensembles and regular audience members at BGT performances, so have seen firsthand how enriching BGT programs can be for the lives and education of children.
“We thank the Step Beyond team in helping us to make exquisitely crafted theatre for children and families, that inspires them to imagine the world anew” Mrs Hristofski said.
