Where To Watch Wicked: One Wonderful Night In Australia, Channel Seven And 7plus Air Two Hour Special

Australian audiences will soon be able to step back into the world of Oz, with Wicked: One Wonderful Night set to air locally as a one off television event celebrating the release of Wicked: For Good.

The two hour musical special will premiere on Channel Seven and 7plus at 8pm on Tuesday, November 18. Hosted by Wicked leads Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, the event brings together much of the cast from the blockbuster film adaptation for a lavish celebration of the beloved musical.

Filmed at Los Angeles’ iconic Dolby Theatre, the venue has been transformed into an Emerald City inspired spectacle, complete with a 37 piece live orchestra led by award winning musical director Stephen Oremus. The evening will feature large scale musical performances by Erivo and Grande, joined by co stars Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang and Marissa Bode.

In addition to the performances, Wicked: One Wonderful Night will include cast interviews, behind the scenes moments and exclusive surprises for fans. There is also a strong possibility of newly created dance sequences, reimagined for the special by Christopher Scott, the acclaimed choreographer behind both Wicked and Wicked: For Good.

A major highlight of the broadcast will be the debut of world premiere clips from the upcoming film, including two brand new original songs written by Wicked composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz. The special will offer audiences their first opportunity to hear music from the next chapter of the Wicked story ahead of the film’s release.

The event will also feature appearances by Wicked and Wicked: For Good director Jon M. Chu, Stephen Schwartz himself, and a number of surprise guests connected to the franchise.

Wicked: One Wonderful Night will air exclusively in Australia on Seven and 7plus at 8pm on Tuesday, November 18, offering fans a front row seat to a global celebration of one of musical theatre’s most enduring phenomena.
