‘The Producers’ is Coming Back to London in a Cozy New Venue

Catch the beloved musical in a more intimate setting later this year.

Get ready, London! Mel Brooks’ hilarious musical ‘The Producers’ is making a comeback. This time, you can enjoy it up close and personal at the Menier Chocolate Factory from November 26, 2024, to March 1, 2025.

‘The Producers’ first hit the West End in 2004 and ran until 2007 at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane. It picked up three Olivier Awards, including Best Musical. Now, it’s coming back for a limited run, directed by theatre legend Patrick Marber.

In ‘The Producers,’ down-and-out Broadway producer Max Bialystock and his timid accountant Leo Bloom concoct a scheme to get rich by producing the biggest flop in Broadway history. They select the tasteless and offensive musical ‘Springtime for Hitler’ as their surefire failure. But when the show unexpectedly becomes a hit, their plans go awry, leading to a series of comedic mishaps and chaos.

If you’re not a big musical theatre buff, you might still know ‘The Producers’ from Larry David’s ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm,’ where he gets involved in a chaotic revival of the show with Ben Stiller.

This is your chance to catch the 12 Tony Award-winning musical in a much cozier setting. The Menier Chocolate Factory seats just 180, so you’re in for an intimate experience. Given its history of success, there’s a good chance it might transfer to a bigger West End stage later on.

The cast hasn’t been announced yet, but you can bet it’s going to be top-notch. Don’t miss out on seeing ‘The Producers’ in this unique and charming venue.

Mark your calendars for November 26, 2024, to March 1, 2025, and get ready to dive into the wild world of Broadway, right here in London!
