The Phantom of the Opera, the iconic musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, has extended its West End run at Her Majesty’s Theatre until 27 September 2025, delighting fans with more opportunities to witness its spectacular performances. Alongside the extension, the production has also released brand-new images showcasing its current cast.
The cast features Dean Chisnall in the title role as The Phantom, Lily Kerhoas as Christine Daaé, and Joe Griffiths-Brown as Raoul. Additional cast members include Joanna Ampil as Carlotta Giudicelli, Martin Ball as Monsieur Firmin, Adam Linstead as Monsieur André, David Kristopher-Brown as Ubaldo Piangi, Helen Hobson as Madame Giry, and Millie Lyon as Meg Giry. Eve Shanu-Wilson also takes on the role of Christine Daaé at select performances.
The ensemble is completed by a talented company including Anya Alindada, Lily Allen-Dodd, George Arvidson, Embla Bishop, and many others, contributing to the rich, atmospheric staging that The Phantom of the Opera is known for.
With a score composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Charles Hart, with additional lyrics by Richard Stilgoe, the production continues to captivate audiences with its unforgettable music and timeless story, based on Gaston Leroux’s novel Le Fantôme de l’Opéra. The show’s original production design by Maria Björnson has been adapted by Matt Kinley, with lighting by Andrew Bridge and sound design by Mick Potter. The choreography, originally by Gillian Lynne, has been adapted by Chrissie Cartwright.
The extended run will include a festive performance schedule this Christmas, with shows running from Monday 23 December through Saturday 4 January, including special performances on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. There will be no performances on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, or New Year’s Day, giving audiences ample chances to catch the legendary musical during the holiday season.
