Meg Donnelly to make Broadway debut as Satine in Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Meg Donnelly will join the Tony Award winning hit Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre from 11 November, marking her Broadway debut as the glittering nightclub star Satine. Her engagement is scheduled through 1 March 2026, with tickets on sale now.
Donnelly is known to audiences from Disney’s Zombies franchise, ABC’s American Housewife, The CW’s The Winchesters, and High School Musical, The Musical, The Series. She also records as a singer and songwriter, with her EP dying art showcasing pop hooks and personal storytelling.
On stage, Donnelly steps into a role made iconic on screen by Nicole Kidman in Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 film. The Broadway role was originated by Tony winner Karen Olivo and has since been performed by Joanna JoJo Levesque, Solea Pfeiffer, and Courtney Reed, among others.
The production continues to expand its star roster. Bob the Drag Queen will join as Harold Zidler for an eight week limited engagement from 27 January 2026 through 22 March 2026, overlapping with Donnelly’s run through early March.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical opened on Broadway in 2019 and won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Directed by Alex Timbers with a book by John Logan, the show blends beloved numbers from the film with additional contemporary hits to create a high energy pop jukebox spectacle set in turn of the century Paris.
The new casting continues the production’s momentum as it heads into the new year, with a fresh leading lady and a high profile Zidler set to share the Hirschfeld stage.
