Hamilton Extends West End Run to 2026
The smash-hit musical Hamilton has announced a further extension of its West End run, with tickets now available through 3 October 2026.
Created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the show blends hip-hop, R&B, and traditional musical theatre to tell the story of Alexander Hamilton, America’s founding father, inspired by Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography. Directed by Thomas Kail with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, the production has become one of the most celebrated musicals of the century.
The current West End cast is led by Alex Sawyer as Hamilton, alongside Jay Perry (Aaron Burr), Emily-Mae (Angelica Schuyler), Bente Mulan (Eliza Hamilton), Jonathan Andrew Hume (George Washington), Yeukayi Ushe (Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), and Jasmine Jia Yung Shen (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds). Jordan Castle plays Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, Jordan Benjamin is John Laurens/Philip Hamilton, and Daniel Boys takes on the role of King George III. At select performances, Adam J Bernard will appear as Hamilton.
The ensemble includes Yuki Abe, Zera Aitken, Joshua Clemetson, Luca Dinardo, Olivia Kate Holding, Sergi Ibanez, Lily Laight, Aidan Nightingale, Tim Nutt, Joshian Angelo Omaña, Kiran Patel, Liam Raven, Aharon Rayner, Daisy Ward, Natasha Wilde, Richard Appiah-Sarpong, Turrell Barrett-Wallace, Roxanne Couch, Nicola Espallardo, Manaia Glassey-Ohlson, Jack Harrison-Cooper, Nicolais-Andre Kerry, Ella Kora, and Paulo Teixeira.
The production features scenic design by David Korins, costumes by Paul Tazewell, lighting by Howell Binkley, sound by Nevin Steinberg, and wigs and hair by Charles G LaPointe.
The news of the extension comes as excitement builds for the UK cinema release of the filmed Broadway production, starring the original cast. The performance, which first streamed on Disney+, will arrive in cinemas later this month.
Tickets for the extended run go on sale Monday 15 September at 11am.
