Broadway Week 2026 Returns With Two-For-One Tickets Across New York Theatres

New York City’s Broadway Week is back for 2026, and for theatre lovers it remains one of the best opportunities of the year to see world class shows without world class prices. From 20 January to 12 February, audiences can snap up two for one tickets across dozens of productions, spanning blockbuster musicals, sharp new plays, and acclaimed West End transfers that have found new life on Broadway.

Tickets go on sale from midday on 7 January, with the official Broadway Week code unlocking 50 percent savings on selected performances. For visitors planning a winter trip to New York, or locals finally ready to tick off a long wish list, the timing could not be better. With so much on offer, here are six standout shows worth prioritising during Broadway Week 2026.

Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Fans of the Netflix phenomenon can return to Hawkins through this Tony Award winning stage prequel, currently playing at the Marquis Theatre. Set decades before the events of the television series, the play explores the early lives of Jim Hopper, Joyce Maldonado, Henry Creel and Dr Brenner, slowly uncovering the origins of the Upside Down. Even for audiences unfamiliar with the show, its cinematic staging, atmospheric sound design and tightly paced storytelling make it one of the most immersive theatrical experiences on Broadway right now.

Aladdin

A Broadway favourite since 2014, Disney’s Aladdin continues to draw crowds at the New Amsterdam Theatre. With Ainsley Melham in the title role, Sonya Balsara as Jasmine and Michael James Scott commanding the stage as Genie, the production balances family friendly spectacle with old fashioned Broadway showmanship. The flying carpet sequence alone remains worth the ticket price, and Broadway Week makes this an ideal choice for first time theatregoers.

Moulin Rouge!

Baz Luhrmann’s fever dream of love and excess translates brilliantly to the stage at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. Featuring a mash up score of pop anthems and soaring ballads, Moulin Rouge! offers both traditional seating and immersive cabaret style options. With Christian Douglas and Meg Donnelly leading the current cast, this remains one of Broadway’s most visually lavish and emotionally charged nights out.

Oh, Mary!

One of Broadway’s most surprising success stories, Oh, Mary! has been packing out the Lyceum Theatre since its 2024 opening. Written by Cole Escola and starring Jinkx Monsoon, the dark comedy reimagines Mary Todd Lincoln as a frustrated cabaret performer spiralling toward infamy. It is absurd, sharply written and gleefully unhinged, and its Tony Award wins have only cemented its status as a must see for audiences craving something offbeat.

Wicked

Few shows define Broadway quite like Wicked, which has been playing at the Gershwin Theatre since 2003. With renewed interest driven by the recent film adaptations starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, the stage production is once again enjoying a surge in popularity. Broadway Week offers a rare chance to experience this modern classic at a reduced price, whether you are revisiting Oz or discovering it for the first time.

Chess

Back on Broadway after reopening in late 2025, Chess brings Cold War politics, grand emotion and an iconic score by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus to the Imperial Theatre. Starring Lea Michele, Aaron Tveit and Nicholas Christopher, the production leans into the musical’s themes of power, loyalty and personal cost. For audiences wanting something weightier than a standard love story, Chess is a compelling choice.

Broadway Week 2026 once again proves that premium theatre does not have to come with a premium price tag. Whether you are chasing spectacle, satire, nostalgia or innovation, this year’s line up offers a rare chance to experience the best of New York theatre for less, while the stages are buzzing and the city is alive with winter energy.
