As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A dancer or a fighter pilot. Every little girls dream.  

Who is the most important person in the world to you?
I have to be a sap and say my handsome dashing boyfriend.  

What animal best represents you and why?
I fight it to the death, but every time we see a sausage dog, my boyfriend points at it and screams “IT’S YOU!!”. They are small, look ridiculous and trot around like they are very important. I guess that could be me.  

If you were a contestant on Deal or No Deal, how much would you need to be on offer before you walked away?
10 thousand million dollars. I love hypotheticals.   

What’s the worst date you’ve ever had?
Oh god. I don’t even want to recount it lest the arrogant beast thinks I still think of him. He was magnificent in his pettiness.  

Windows or MAC?
Windows, but I have been defecting of late. To the gulag for me.  

Which Spice Girl was your favourite?
Ginger, baby. Ginger.  

Who is the actor you would most like to work alongside?
Daniel Day Lewis. Though he would make me look terrible.

What is the best thing about theatre in Australia?
That its a small, tight community, I can go to a show on my own and always see someone in it, or in the audience, that I know.

Sashimi. Anywhere. Anytime.

What would you do if you found a wallet on the ground?
Go through everything to find something salacious, then hand it in.  

What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?
Filming an educational video on how to get a job. Cheap and daggy. Lots of showing what not to do, like wearing a miniskirt and halterneck top with trashy boots at an interview and saying ‘Um’ alot. It was a low point in my career. 

What’s the first website you visit when you come online?
smh.com, though its awful trashy these days.   

Name one moment when you looked around, breathed happily and felt content
Eating scones with double cream in Katoomba, on my own in front of an open fire. I could do and think nothing but soak up what was right in front of me.  

Red or white?
Red.  

Where is the most interesting place you have travelled?
I grew up near Walhalla, Victoria, a gold-mining town in the mountains that only got electricity in the last ten years. That place will always fascinate me. 

Who is the most famous person you’ve ever met?
I stood inappropriately close to Bernadette Peters back stage of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival gala, and I touched Hugh Jackmans elbow while he passed me backstage of the Helpmann Awards just to say that I had. That counts, right? I met Steven Soderbergh a few days after I had seen The Informant, and that was my biggest kick. Such a brilliant film.  

Where do you see yourself in five years?
Thinner, wealthier and more envied.
