Your Sunday Afternoon Zen: Emily Milledge is “Textbook Perfect”

Emily Milledge carries within her a hint of the extraordinary. She crosses over from plays to musicals and back again, often carrying with her a sincere, curious intensity. Who else but Emily Milledge could star in Carrie, Adena Jacobs’ difficult and exhilarating Wizard of Oz, among so many, and also bring a wisp of loveliness to a home grown song like “Textbook Perfect”? She’s one of a kind.

“Textbook Perfect” is written by Nick Hedger and Ben Nicholson, a musical theatre writing force based in Melbourne. The song comes from their mini-show Hook Up – a Gen Y look at relationships.

Happy Sunday.
