Announced on the band’s Facebook page and website, a revival of the production is set to be produced by Australia’s leading musical theatre producer John Frost, in association with Queen Theatrical Productions, Phil McIntyre Entertainment and Tribeca Theatrical Productions in 2016.

We Will Rock You premiered in 2002 and has played in 17 countries around the world. Australia’s debut production of We Will Rock You opened in August 2003 at the Regent Theatre Melbourne, starring Amanda Harrison, Michael Falzon and Kate Maree Hoolihan.

Writer Ben Elton is slated to direct the new Aussie production. No official announcement has come from the Australian producers at this stage, no venue information or dates have been confirmed and the show’s website listed on Queen’s press release -www.wewillrockyoutour.com.au – is not yet live.
