War Horse Australia celebrate 100 performances

The cast and crew of War Horse will celebrate 100 performances in Australia this evening in Sydney.

War Horse the internationally acclaimed play by Nick Stafford, presented by The National Theatre of Great Britain and Global Creatures is currently performing at Sydney’s Lyric Theatre, The Star after a successful debut season at Arts Centre, Melbourne.

The multiple Tony and Olivier Award winning production will also head to Brisbane’s Lyric Theatre QPAC from Saturday July 6. 

“War Horse is a life affirming story about friendship, courage and family, which appeals to all ages” said Chris Harper, Producer at National Theatre of Great Britain.

“This is a production that brings the family together, we get people coming back again and again, and they always have the same reaction. It awakens something in you.”

It certainly has awoken something in Australian audiences, who have been flocking to see the show since its premiere on New Year’s Eve.
