The best four teams of improvising comics compete this Saturday night for prizes, glory and the biggest, ugliest trophy in the known world. It’s the annual Cranston Cup Grand Final and it’s coming to the Enmore Theatre this Saturday, December 5.
Celebrating its 25th year at the Enmore Theatre, Theatresports is like Seven’s Thank God You’re Here and the Comedy Channel’sWhose Line Is It Anyway? This is hilarious, fast-paced comedy with no scripts and no safety net! On the same stage that launched Andrew Denton, Julia Zemiro, Rebecca de Unamuno, Adam Spencer and many more. What started as more than 20 teams will have battled through elimination rounds, leaving blood – or at least gibbering comic idiots – all over the floor.
The finalists are:
The Mexican’ts,
The Tom Selleck Experience,
A New Anagram Every Time; and
The Future Unlimited Champion Knights
With MC Claire Hooper (Good News Week, Stand Up!), co-host and timekeeper Susie Youssef and musicians Tom Lowndes and Benny Davis. And celebrity guest judges!
