- Tailored career advice and industry networking
Meet the 2025 Fellows

Why This Program Matters
“The Fellowship is the vital final bridge between learning and professional life. Playing inside a full-time orchestra, with support from our mentors, is the perfect training ground for musicians of the future.”
— John Nolan, Director of Learning & Engagement
“Being an SSO Fellow is both an incredible honour and a transformative opportunity—personally and professionally.”
— Ariel Postmus, 2025 Viola Fellow
Since 2001, the Fellowship has helped launch dozens of careers: 12 alumni now hold permanent chairs in the Sydney Symphony, while many others perform with leading orchestras worldwide.
