The star-studded Twisted Broadway is coming back to Sydney!

Twisted Broadway, the gender-bending musical theatre spectacular is coming back to Sydney for its second year – and this time, it brings Chloe Dallimore and Damien Bodie with it as hosts.

Featuring Australia's premier music theatre performers singing songs originally written for the opposite gender, all proceeds from Twisted Broadway go to Oz Showbiz Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Laughs and music for a good cause? It's hard to pass up that opportunity, so clear your diaries and plan to head to NIDA's Parade Theatre on August 19.

Right off the stages of Gypsy and The Addams Family comes beloved music theatre star Chloe Dallimore to host the evening. She is also currently serving as President of the Board for Oz Showbiz Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

She will be joined on the night by Damien Bodie as co-host – who you might know from Winners and Losers or Neighbours. He's currently aligned himself with other charity events, and hosted as part of the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

The show is modelled off the wildly successful New York tradition Broadway Backwards, and has become in Australia a welcome addition to the annual music theatre calendar.

Performers on the night in Sydney will include Helen Dallimore (Legally Blonde), Ben Mingay (An Officer and a Gentleman), Verity Hunt Ballard (Mary Poppins), Ian Stenlake (Stingers), Rodney Dobson (Wicked), Pippa Grandison (Wicked), Avigail Herman (Cats) and Tom Sharah (It's Raining Me).

Oz Showbiz Cares/Equity Fights AIDS demonstrates the Australian entertainment industry's dedication to those living with and touched by HIV/AIDS in Australia, where 20 people a week are diagnosed with HIV,  and over 50 per cent of those living with the disease reside under the poverty line.
