The Phantom of the Opera is one of the world’s most enduring contemporary contemporary musicals and from 2013 it has extended its reach.
Performance rights were made available to amateur theatre groups in Australia and New Zealand from 2013 and eager companies have been putting their spin on this famous musical in many Australian cities for the last few months.
The South Australian debut of The Phantom of the Opera is now half way through its amateur debut under the guidance of local producer Matt Byrne.

There are still a few tickets left for the final week of shows at Elizabeth’s Shedley Theatre, which sports a local cast including Michael Bates as Phantom, Ellonye Keniry as Christine, Will Daniels as Raoul and David Gauci and Dione Baker as Piangi and Carlotta.
