Showbiz to be bought by Tix.com.au

After being placed into voluntary administration nearly two months ago, it was confirmed by themusicnetwork.com that Tix.com.au have bought the brand and “certain database assets” of ticketing company Showbiz.

Tix.com.au is a ticketing deal business which owns Firsttix, Lasttix, Movietix and Fasttix (say that 10 times fast!) and it understood that a new Showbiz website will be launched by the company in July 2014.

Showbiz was selling tickets to major musicals across the country including Wicked and Grease when it entered administration.
