Second round of guests announced for season two of Arts Centre Melbourne’s Big Night In with John Foreman

Season two of Arts Centre Melbourne’s Big Night In with John Foreman has been greeted with open arms by return audiences. To continue that excitement, the next string of artists to join the line-up have been announced making up episodes three and four on Wednesday 23 September and Wednesday 30 September.

Episode three will feature one of Australia’s most prolific writers, composers and performers Eddie Perfect who was also recently unmasked as Frillneck on The Masked Singer. Plus acclaimed performer Bernadette Robinson (Songs for Nobodies) will join comedian and 3RRR radio broadcaster Geraldine Hickey who has been performing as part of The Standup Sessions from Victoria Together. Episode four will then see Australian pop icon Christine Anu (Goldfish from The Masked Singer) joined by her daughter Zipporah Corser Anu, as well as musical theatre leading man Zoy Frangos (Evita).

“I’m so excited to be a guest on the wonderful Art Centre Melbourne’s Big Night In! I am honoured to now be among the incredible guests that have appeared on the show and it has been so wonderful to perform again. This was the first time I’d sung with John Foreman and what we have in store for audiences is truly something special and close to the First Nations people of my mother’s side,” says Frangos.

John Foreman and the Aussie Pops Orchestra will once again join these artists and musicians live in their own homes to make glorious music. Eddie Perfect and the Aussie Pops Orchestra will serenade audiences with ‘A Place By The River’ and Robinson will be joined by accompanist Paul Noonan to sing ‘One Perfect Day’. Audiences will need to tune in to see the extraordinary musical moments Anu and Frangos have created.

Episode 3 – Wednesday 23 September at 7pm: Eddie Perfect, Bernadette Robinson and Geraldine Hickey
Episode 4
– Wednesday 30 September at 7pm: Christine Anu and Zoy Frangos

The two Encore Episodes recently broadcast via Together With You and the upcoming second season of Big Night In were made possible through funding from the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC), as part of Victoria Together. The government is using Victoria Together to keep people connected to art, learning and entertainment while they can’t experience it live. The DPC is not a content producer and as such is providing funding to organisations that can produce interesting content and programming that talks to a diversity of audiences and experiences.

Arts Centre Melbourne announced it had postponed welcoming visitors back to its venues in accordance with the most recent Victorian Government guidelines on COVID-19. The ghost lights will stay on a little longer as Arts Centre Melbourne focuses on finding new ways to engage with audiences, including the digital online hub – Together With You.
