Australian director Sarah Watt has tragically lost her battle with cancer.
The wife of respected Australian actor William McInnes, Watt passed away in Melbourne last Friday.
Fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to the respected director and animator.
“The maker of wonderful human stories. Sad to hear of her death, thinking of her family. So many stories, now for someone else to tell,” one writer said.
“A wonderful woman gone too soon,” said another.
Watt was best known for her AFI Award-winning film, Look Both Ways.
A death notice from the family in The Age said Watts “died peacefully at home filled with the love she gave to those who adored her – her family. A life of courage humour, intelligence, generosity, honesty and grace.”
