The Production Company announce their 2018 shows

The Production Company have announced their 20th birthday season at a special launch event today in Melbourne.

OklahomaThe Boy From Oz and the Australian premiere of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder will make up the 20th anniversary season.

The announcement was streamed live from the Pratt family’s Italianate mansion, Raheen, and was peppered with performances and video links from key cast members including Rohan Browne, Simon Gleeson, Anna O’Byrne and Caroline O’Connor.

Simon Gleeson and Anna O’Byrne will star in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical Oklahoma! will play 11 performances from 26 May to 3 June at the State Theatre, Arts Centre Melbourne. Other members of the cast include Elise McCann, Bobby Fox, Robyn Nevin, Ben Mingay and Richard Piper.

The Boy From Oz

In August, The Production Company will celebrate 20 years of Australia’s favourite musical, The Boy from Oz. Rohan Browne and Caroline O’Connor star as Peter Allen and Judy Garland in the dazzling, funny and moving story of legendary Australian entertainer, Peter Allen. 11 performances only, from 11 – 19 August at the State Theatre, Arts Centre Melbourne. The show will be directed by Jason Langley and musically directed by Michael Tyack.

A Gentleman’s Guide To Love and Murder

In October, for 18 performances only, Mitchell Butel will play eight members of one crazy family in the Australian premiere of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, the Tony Award winning comedy. Also starring Chris Ryan (King Kong), Amy Lehpamer (DUSTY), Genevieve Kingsford (Brigadoon) and the legendary Nancye Hayes (Funny Girl). Playing at the Playhouse at Arts Centre Melbourne from 27 October to 18 November
