Pretty Woman the Musical Wraps Highly Successful Adelaide Season

From standing ovations to five-star reviews, Adelaide audiences couldn’t get enough of Pretty Woman the Musicalearning it a place in Adelaide Festival Centre’s top 20 selling shows of all time. The world-class musical theatre offerings continue at Adelaide Festival Centre with Heathers the Musical, ANASTASIA The Broadway Musical, and The Book of Mormonstill to come this year.

Adelaide audiences continue to show up in droves for live performance at Adelaide Festival Centre and Her Majesty’s Theatre. We congratulate Pretty Woman the Musical on an exceptional season and look forward to hosting more fantastic musicals in the coming months.

Next up, is the wickedly funny and deliciously dark Heathers the Musical at Her Majesty’s Theatre from July 16. Direct from London and New York, Heathers the Musical is a cult classic set to a killer soundtrack, based on the iconic movie starringWinona Ryder and Christian Slater.

From August 2 at Festival Theatre, patrons can look forward to the dazzling adventure filled romance ANASTASIA The Broadway Musical, inspired by the beloved film. By a Tony Award-winning creative team, ANASTASIA stars Georgina Hopson, Robert Tripolino, Joshua Robson, Rodney Dobson, Rhonda Burchmore and Nancye Hayes AM.

 

 

In December, the Tony, Olivier, and Grammy award-winning production The Book of Mormon returns to Festival Theatre. Called “the best musical of this century” by The New York Times, The Book of Mormon has set house records at 27 theatres across the US, and broken box office records for the highest single day of sales in London’s West End history.

 

 

The Australian premiere season in 2015 broke the record for the highest selling on-sale period of any production in Melbourne’s Princess Theatre’s 159-year history and also won the Helpmann Award for Best Musical.
