Phantom of the Opera comes to Parramatta!

They’re back! Packemin Productions have been delighting the Riverside stages for a few years now, and following their successes like Hairspray and Annie, they’re tackling the big one: The Phantom of the Opera

That’s right, Packemin have rounded up some pros and taken on the sweeping dark romantic classic. Ben Mingay (Wonderland, An Officer and a Gentleman)will play Phantom, while Erin Clare (Snow White) will play Christine, and Johanna Allen (Wicked) will play Carlotta.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical behemoth has run on Broadway for over 25 years and remains in demand around the world.

A mysterious masked Phantom lurks underneath the Paris Opera House. When he becomes transfixed by the voice of young soprano Christine, obsessed with her talent and seeing to her success, the world of Paris opera will never be the same again.

With a full orchestra led by Peter Hayward and direction by Neil Gooding, this community celebration of all things musicals – and a return of our beloved Phantom – should be one heck of a night.

The Phantom of the Opera will play at Parramatta’s Riverside Theatres from February 6 – 21. Go here for bookings and more information.
