Paulini to sing anthem at tonight’s State of Origin 3

Paulini, currently starring as Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard the Musial, will sing the national anthem at tonight’s Rugby League State of Origin decider, at Queensland’s Suncorp Stadium.

Paulini joins a growing list of music theatre stars – including Josh Piterman and Lucy Durack – who have performed the anthem at Origin events over the years.

You can watch coverage of the State of Origin on Channel 9 tonight from 7:00pm AEST. The national anthem will be performed at 8:07pm just ahead of the 8:10 kickoff.

The Bodyguard, which recently completed its premiere Sydney season, will begin performances at QPAC in Brisbane on July 19 before heading to Melbourne in August.
