Part physical comedy, part existential crisis; award-winning cabaret show Complete Chaos, presented by theatre company A Friendly Beast will return to Melbourne Fringe Festival for a week of performances at The Motley Bauhaus from 13 to 19 October.
With sold performances at last years’ Melbourne Fringe and more recently, award-winning success at Darwin Fringe, writer and performer Thomas Pidd is giving audiences another chance to enjoy his hilarious and heartfelt work, reflecting on his life thus far, through the lens of a late ADHD diagnosis.
Complete Chaos is a wonderfully unhinged blend of cabaret and clowning, where Pidd attempts to throw every trick he has learned in his life into one show; music, singing, puppetry, physical theatre and juggling, to name just a few, while also asking questions about identity and one’s place in the daily toil of life.
This work is for anyone who’s living with, or knows someone with a non-neurotypical brain, it’s for people who don’t understand their place in the world and are wondering why things never seem to work out quite right.
One performer, a million distractions, and a burning desire to do it all – often at once – this is a show that celebrates the chaos of creativity, the humour in imperfection, and the struggle of never quite finishing what you started.
