More shows added to Manifesto season

Stephanie Lake’s triumphant Manifesto has Melbourne audiences begging for more and as such, six more shows have been added to the season.

From 25 October – 5 November fans of Stephanie Lake Company can see one of 10 shows at Arts Centre Melbourne’s Playhouse or have serious FOMO!

Manifesto is one of the hottest shows coming to Melbourne this spring after its recent international tour to Ruhr fests piele Recklinghausen festival in Germany.

Stephanie Lake:

I am beyond excited that our Melbourne/Naarm season is being extended. The response to the first season of Manifesto was explosive and we’re thrilled to give even more people the chance to see the show before we head back on the road with extensive international touring. A two-week season in our home city is a joy!.

The electrifying one-hour performance has already captivated audiences around the country since it debuted at Adelaide Festival in 2022. Witness nine dancers and nine drummers on nine drum-kits in front of a towering watermelon-pink velvet curtain as the frenzy of movement and sound coalesce to create a vortex of irresistible human energy.

Tickets for the whole season are on sale now and in high demand. Don’t miss out.

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government’s Major Festivals Initiative, managed by the Australia Council, its arts funding and advisory body, in association with the Confederation of Australian International Arts Festivals Inc, commissioned by RISING, Adelaide Festival, Brisbane Festival, Perth Festival and Sydney Festival.

Manifesto has been supported by Creative Victoria, Australia Council for the Arts, City of Moreland, City of Melbourne and Creative Partnerships Australia though Plus 1. Manifesto has also been assisted through the generous support of the Canny Quine Foundation, Humanity Foundation, Chloe Munro Fellowship and many generous individual donors.
