Meet the Beinekes: Maddren, Retallick and Harvey join the Addams Family Cast

Tony Harvey, Katrina Retallick and Tim Maddren will star as the Beinekes in The Addams Family.

In a special event this morning, a new (and incredibly ‘normal’) trio were thrown into the Addams Family mix.

The Addams Family musical centres Wednesday Addams and her developing relationship with a sweet, smart young man from a fully functioning ‘normal’ family – The Beineke Family.

Producer Rodney Rigby and Australia’s Wednesday Addams, Teagan Wouters, officially announced the family – Mal, Alice and Lucas – in the heritage foyer of the Capitol Theatre earlier today.

Theatre veteran Tony Harvey (The Lion King, Jekyll and Hyde) will originate the role of Mal Beineke, Katrina Retallick (A Little Night Music) will star as Alice and Tim Maddren (Hi-5, Fiddler on the Roof) will return to the musical theatre world as Wednesday’s love interest Lucas.

The Addams Family is set to open in March 2013 at the Capitol Theatre, and will also star John Waters as Gomez, Chloe Dallimore as Morticia, Russell Dykstra as Fester, Teagan Wouters as Wednesday, Ben Hudson as Lurch, Meredith O’Reilly as Grandma Addams and Liam Faulkner-Dimond as Pugsley.
