Yes, yes, the 2011 Helpmann Awards have come and gone… put to rest for another 12 months. Not wanting to let the magic of this year’s ceremony be completely forgotten, we have a special Helpmann Award red carpet video to share with you.
Yes, yes, the 2011 Helpmann Awards have come and gone… put to rest for another 12 months. Not wanting to let the magic of this year’s ceremony be completely forgotten, we have a special Helpmann Award red carpet video to share with you.
Our very own Liam and Damo (2 Guys, 1 Review) were on the red carpet, interviewing anyone and everyone they could catch on their way into the auditorium at the Sydney Opera House on August 1.
I apologise for the tardiness of the feature, but thanks to the purchase of a shiny new iMac, we here at the AussieTheatre.com office have managed to (finally) get the video out of the editing suite and onto the world wide web. Better late than never! Rob Mills (host of channel 10’s revival of Young Talent Time) sings a snippet from the Last Five Years. Stephen, Bobby, Ben and Glaston (the four Jersey Boys) chat about Dry July (& Michael Jackson), and a little birdie told me it was Glaston’s birthday on August 1, also. What a way to spend celebrate your birthday!
We also chat with Jason Coleman, Ita Buttrose, Michael Falzon, Lucy Maunder, Jemma Rix and many more!
I hope you enjoy this little snippet of red carpet frivolity. Congratulations to all who were nominated, to all who were recognised and to all who support Live Performance in Australia. Our industry thrives because of you! – Erin James
