Harry Potter and the Cursed Child dives into SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium

The cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have embarked on an epic, spell-binding adventure of a different kind at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium.

In their downtime from performing the most globally awarded new play, Connor Sweeney, Aisha Aidara and Min Muhaimin dived into the aquarium’s 2.2 million litre Oceanarium where they were surrounded by sharks, rays and fish of all shapes and sizes.

The cast members – who are more familiar with the magical creatures of the Wizarding World than they are sharks – took the plunge at the aquarium just like the characters venture into the lake as part of the Triwizard Tournament in the play!

Connor, Aisha and Min were submerged in water seven metres deep as they watched sea creatures glide around them as part of SEA LIFE Melbourne’s thrilling Shark Dive Xtreme experience, where guests with no previous diving experience are guaranteed to come face-to-fin with sharks.

Connor Sweeney:

The rays and sharks sharing their home with us – the muggles of the Ocean – was profound, truly magic! How amazing to experience something like this in the middle of a busy city.

SEA LIFE Melbourne and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are both enchanting Melbourne experiences in the heart of the CBD. Guests can visit the aquarium for an afternoon of amazing underwater discovery before taking in the magic on stage at Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Exclusive to Melbourne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a fully immersive, theatrical experience, featuring all the characters people know and love as well as new characters too, live on stage at the Princess Theatre. The official eighth story in the Harry Potter canon is now playing at the Princess Theatre.

SEA LIFE Melbourne’s Shark Dive Xtreme experience is Melbourne’s only cageless shark adventure.
