As exclusively revealed by AussieTheatre.com earlier this month, Jaz Flowers will play the coveted role of Tracy Turnblad in the forthcoming Australian production of Hairspray.
Flowers’ appointment to the role was confirmed at a Melbourne media opportunity earlier today.
Also in the cast is well-known cabaret star Trevor Ashley, who will star as Edna Turnblad.
Grant Piro will play Wilbur, Jack Chambers is Link and Renee Armstrong is Amber.
Marney McQueen, Esther Hannaford, Cle Morgan and Nancy Denis are also in the principal cast.
Scott Irwin has won the role of Corny Collins.
