Producers John Frost and Phil Bathols have announced that Broadway legend Mandy Patinkin and Opera superstar Nathan Gunn will perform together in Australia in November, combining their musical talents to create a unique and powerful evening of entertainment.
An Evening with Mandy Patinkin and Nathan Gunn will play one night only in Melbourne (November 21), Sydney (November 26) and Brisbane (November 28). Tickets go on sale on September 16.
Mandy Patinkin, star of Channel 10’s hit series Homeland and one of the most versatile and compelling actors, singers and storytellers of our time, joins forces with one of the world’s most in-demand and leading opera baritones, Nathan Gunn for an evening of show tunes, pop music, opera, and Americana.
The duo performs roughly two-dozen songs including solos and duets, some from Mandy’s world of Broadway and some showcasing Nathan’s operatic brilliance, including ‘Lily’s Eyes’, ‘Maria’, ‘If I Loved You’ and Rossini’s Barber of Seville. They are accompanied on stage by Nathan’s wife and music director Julie Jordan Gunn and by Mandy’s long time accompanist Paul Ford.
