The Sydney Fringe is back again 2011, opening in September and providing a plethora of theatrical options.

While the Festival will still call Newtown home, they are busting out across Sydney offering more of the city a chance to get Fringed with new precincts in Leichhardt, Parramatta, Chatswood, Darlinghurst’s Oxford Street and the city.

This year, the new Fringe Club, Five Eliza, will re-imagine one of Sydney’s hidden gems in the heart of Newtown and create a speakeasy lounge that will be the place for kicking back with the Fringe crowd.

On opening night (Sept 9th), the Fringe turns up the volume in ever-buzzing King Street with a live music stage at The Hub for Newtown Live! Take a free peek at the work of some of our festival visual artists plus buskers, street poetry, Samba Ninja, Pop-Up Festival and Five Eliza opens for business.

KidsFringe will create a family-friendly space and a bagful of shows at the Addison Road Centre and prove you are never too young for a festival.

FringeMates is a new free membership card that gives your Fringe experience a little boost with special offers and discounts at participating bars, restaurants and businesses.

The Festival will be launched on August 4, where full details of the program will also be announced.
