AussieTheatre have teamed up with the gang at Twisted Broadway to exclusively announce the stellar cast of Twisted Broadway 2014, Australia’s zaniest charity concert.

Scheduled for one night only at Arts Centre Melbourne’s Playhouse, the highly anticipated Melbourne event will be hosted this year by Virginia Gay – star of TVs Winners and Losers – and feature a host of Australian music theatre performers including Patrice Tipoki (Les Miserables), Esther Hannaford (King Kong), Josh Piterman (West Side Story), Amanda Harrison (Wicked), Bert LaBonte (Next to Normal).

Celebrating its 5th birthday this year, Twisted Broadway will take place on Monday 4 August, 2014 and will feature internationally-acclaimed music theatre talent singing songs originally penned for the opposite gender in a night of show-stopping entertainment.

Producers Kate Macdonald and TheBengeGroup have modelled the fundraiser on the success of New York’s Broadway Backwards, and over the last five years the concert has become a stalwart in Australia’s music theatre calendar. With sell out concerts each year, the Melbourne theatre community has embraced the event with alacrity and since its inception, Twisted Broadway has raised over $60,000 for those living with and touched by HIV/AIDS through its chosen charity Oz Showbiz Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

This year, the concert will be directed by Chris Parker, musically directed by Trevor Jones. A confirmed cast list and choreographer list can be found below.

Tickets are on sale today, so book now to avoid disappointment – the show is guaranteed to sell out!
