Dolly Parton-Approved Musical Comedy ‘Here You Come Again’ Announces Perth Season

A Parton-inspired musical comedy created by Dolly Parton fan and American actor Tricia Paoluccio is set to captivate audiences in Australia. Here You Come Again, which has earned the personal endorsement of Dolly Parton, is making its way to Perth, with performances scheduled at The Regal Theatre starting August 22.

The two-person production, co-created by Paoluccio, follows a heartwarming narrative in which a devoted fan envisions an idealized version of international icon Dolly Parton guiding him through life’s most challenging moments. The musical is a tribute to Parton’s legacy, showcasing a medley of her greatest hits including tracks such as ‘Jolene’, ‘Islands In The Stream’, ‘I Will Always Love You’, and ‘9 To 5’.

Having enjoyed sold-out seasons across the United States in 2023 and a subsequent successful UK tour, Here You Come Again is poised to capture the hearts of Australian audiences. The production is brought to life by Paoluccio, who continues to embody the role of Dolly, alongside Aussie actor Dash Kruck—known for his work in productions like Little Shop of Horrors and Jesus Christ Superstar—and an energetic live band.

Prior to the Perth season, the musical will make its Australian debut at Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre on July 12, marking the start of an eagerly anticipated tour across the country. Fans of musical theatre and the legendary Dolly Parton alike can look forward to an engaging blend of comedy, music, and heartfelt storytelling as Here You Come Again brings a fresh interpretation to the beloved icon’s music.

The innovative production highlights not only the enduring appeal of Dolly Parton’s catalog but also the creative vision of those who draw inspiration from her enduring legacy, promising a unique theatrical experience for audiences in Australia this year.
