Defying Gravity: Idina Menzel to perform in Sydney

Tickets are on pre-sale this morning for Broadway sensation Idina Menzel’s newly announced Sydney Opera House concert on June 26, 2013.

Idina Menzel

Booked as the headline act for the closing weekend of Kate Ceberano’s 2nd Adelaide Cabaret Festival (June 22), Menzel’s Sydney engagement with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra is the second performance announced for her Australian tour.

The Tony Award-winning actress, singer and songwriter was the star of Broadway’s Wicked and the original stage production of Rent, will be performing a diverse repertoire of classic pop and musical theatre favourites, including hits from Wicked and Rent

Menzel has also appeared on the hit TV series Glee as Shelby Corcoran (Rachel’s biological mother) and in the US television series Private Practice.

If you are a Wicked fan, a Glee fan, a Broadway fan or just a fan of a good Sydney Symph concert, book tickets to see this superstar live (yes, she will be singing Defying Gravity) in her debut Sydney performance.
