CLUEDO stage play to tour across Australia

Cluedo, the game of whodunnit that’s gripped generations is stepping off the board and onto the stage! Premiering at QPAC in Brisbane in January 2026, the much-loved murder mystery will then travel to Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre, Her Majesty’s Theatre in Adelaide and Theatre Royal Sydney throughout 2026.

“Continuing our tradition of presenting some of the world’s favourite mysteries on stage including Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None and The Mousetrap, I’m delighted to present the Australian premiere of Cluedo,” said Producer John Frost.

“We know audiences love a murder mystery and with Cluedo being one of the world’s best-selling board games with over 150 million games sold in over 40 countries, I know that Australia will delight in seeing the mystery played out live on stage,” he added.

Based on the fan-favourite 1985 Paramount Pictures movie, Clue and inspired by the classic Hasbro board game that is the 5th highest selling board game of all time, Cluedo is the ultimate whodunnit that will leave you dying of laughter and keep you guessing until the final twist.

Cluedo, also known as Clue in the US, has played on stage in the US and the UK to great success and sell out shows. The film Clue is regarded as a cherished cult classic and featured a stellar cast including Tim Curry, Lesley Ann Warren, Christophe Lloyd and Madeleine Kahn.

Audiences will join the suspicious and slightly eccentric dinner guests Colonel Mustard, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs Peacock, Mr Green and Mrs White as they arrive at Boddy Manor for a night they’ll never forget! Was it Mrs. Peacock in the study with the knife? Or was it Colonel Mustard in the library with the wrench? One thing’s certain, everyone has something to hide.

This fast-paced, farcical comedy-thriller is a killer night of entertainment for fans of the board game, lovers of classic mysteries, and anyone who enjoys a good laugh with their larceny.

Grab your trench coat, channel your inner detective, and prepare for an evening of deadly fun!

Casting announcements will be made in the coming months.
