An Officer and A Gentleman – second track released for sharing

I'm Gonna Fly - Ben Mingay

The brand new musical An Officer An A Gentleman has released its second teaser track in the form of a youtube clip on Facebook this morning.

Penned by composers Ken Hirsch and Robin Lerner and entitled “I’m Gonna Fly”, the song is an inspirational pop anthem featuring the talents of leading man, Ben Mingay.

The preview is available on Facebook, the An Officer And A Gentleman Website and by special arrangement with the producers, here on AussieTheatre.com.

Also available for viewing is the principal cast of An Officer and a Gentleman – Ben Mingay, Amanda Harrison, Alex Rathgeber and Kate Kendall – performing the iconic pop ballad “Up Where We Belong”.

An Officer And A Gentleman will open at the Lyric Theatre, The Star on 18 May, 2012 co-produced by John Frost and Sharleen Cooper Cohen. Featuring an original score by Ken Hirsch and Grammy Award nominee Robin Lerner, and a book by original screen writer Douglas Day Stewart, the show is an adaptation of the hit 1982 film starring Richard Gere and Debra Winger.
