Attention all Brisbane Musical Theatre and Cabaret Performers: Matthew Lee Robinson’s New Voices workshop is for you. Really.

Acclaimed performer and composer Matthew Lee Robinson has been presenting workshops for several years all over Australia and this month (after sell out workshops in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth) he is bringing his ability to inspire and equip performers in the art of storytelling through song to Brisbane!

Participants lucky enough to take part in the full two day workshop will be assigned two songs from Robinson’s extensive music theatre catalogue, receive a private coaching session, and feature in a showcase concert performing these songs at the Burke Street Studio Theatre, Brisbane.

Fresh from sellout performances of ATLANTIS – IN CONCERT in Melbourne, and New York City readings of his latest musicals for Stephen Schwartz, Disney Theatrical Productions and Manhattan Theatre Club, Churchill Fellowship winner Matthew Lee Robinson is thrilled to be returning to Queensland to present these workshops to a new wave of performers.

“Being Queensland born and bred, it’s a thrill to bring New Voices to Brisbane. Performers there won’t have had access to my latest material until now and this is the first New Voices where the participants will be assigned a solo AND duet, so it’s particularly exciting,” Robinson said.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday September 30 and Wednesday October 1, 2014. The showcase performance will be held on Friday October 3 at Burke Street Studio Theatre.

Applications for the workshop close this Friday September 12 and the workshop has limited availability.
