Titanique Skewers Beckham Family Drama During First West End Anniversary Gala

The West End musical Titanique marked its first anniversary with a gala performance that leaned into one of the most talked about celebrity stories of the moment, the ongoing Beckham family feud.

The celebratory performance took place on Tuesday night at London’s Criterion Theatre, where the cast surprised audiences with a tongue in cheek segment referencing the very public fallout involving Brooklyn Beckham and his famous parents.

During the show, performers reportedly made jokes about Victoria Beckham and her alleged “inappropriate dancing”, while a nod to her 2001 solo single Not Such An Innocent Girl drew some of the loudest laughs of the night. Brooklyn’s recent six page statement criticising his family, which has dominated headlines and social media in recent days, was also referenced during the playful onstage moment.

The anniversary gala attracted a star studded crowd, including Denise van Outen, Kelly Holmes, Arlene Phillips, Vanessa Feltz, Tom Fletcher, and Chris O’Dowd, who attended with his wife Dawn O’Porter.

Brooklyn’s statement, released earlier this week, accused his parents, including father David Beckham, of attempting to undermine his marriage to Nicola Peltz. Among the most controversial claims was an allegation that Victoria “hijacked” the couple’s first dance at their wedding, comments which reportedly left her deeply distressed.

Since the statement’s release, the feud has continued to fuel online debate, with a resurfaced TikTok clip from Paris Fashion Week in 2022 sparking renewed discussion around the family dynamic. The footage, showing an awkward interaction between Victoria and Nicola, has divided viewers, with opinions split over whether the moment reflected tension or was simply a misunderstanding.

Despite the ongoing scrutiny, Brooklyn and Nicola were seen smiling during a walk in Malibu this week, marking their first public appearance since the statement. The couple appeared relaxed and affectionate as they strolled with their rescue dog, Lamb, presenting a sharp contrast to the intensity of the headlines surrounding them.

Meanwhile, Titanique, already known for its irreverent humour and pop culture satire, demonstrated that no celebrity drama is off limits, even during a milestone anniversary celebration.
