THE LOST BOYS And CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL Extend Broadway Runs

Two of Broadway’s major Tony Award-nominated productions are extending their New York runs, with THE LOST BOYS and CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL both releasing new blocks of tickets into 2027.

THE LOST BOYS, directed by Michael Arden, has made a new block of tickets available through Sunday, 7 March 2027. The production began previews at the Palace Theatre on 27 March and officially opened on 26 April.

The musical has emerged as one of the season’s major contenders, receiving 12 Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical. Its extended Broadway engagement follows strong awards-season momentum and signals continuing confidence in the production’s commercial future.

The show is also set to launch a North American national tour in spring 2028, beginning at Playhouse Square in Cleveland. Additional cities and tour dates are expected to be announced at a later date.

CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL has also extended its Broadway run, with tickets now available through Sunday, 17 January 2027 at the Broadhurst Theatre. The extension was announced on ABC’s THE VIEW by stars André De Shields and “Tempress” Chasity Moore.

Directed by Zhailon Levingston and Bill Rauch, the production began previews on 18 March and opened on 7 April. The reimagined revival has received nine Tony Award nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical.

The extension continues a high-profile Broadway season for CATS: THE JELLICLE BALL, which has drawn attention for its bold reinvention of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic musical through the lens of ballroom culture.

Together, the extensions reflect the strength of both productions heading into the Tony Awards, where Broadway visibility can help drive ticket demand well beyond awards night. For nominated shows, continued sales momentum can be just as significant as the trophies themselves, particularly in a crowded season where box office attention remains fiercely contested.
