The Devil Wears Prada West End Cast to Host Special Album Signing Event
Fashion meets theatre this month as the West End cast of The Devil Wears Prada gears up to celebrate the release of their brand-new cast album with a special signing event.
The musical, currently running at the Dominion Theatre, follows Andy Sachs as she navigates the cutthroat world of fashion under the watchful eye of the formidable Miranda Priestly. With a score by Elton John and Shaina Taub, a book by Kate Wetherhead, and direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell, the show has quickly become one of the West End’s hottest tickets.
The original cast recording will be released on 19 September via Island EMI, available on CD, digital, and LP formats. Fans can already stream the first track, Miranda Girl, while the digital edition will include two previously unheard Elton John demo recordings. Produced and mixed by Giles Martin, the album features all 18 songs from the musical, with a 12-track selection available on vinyl.
To mark the release, lead cast members Vanessa Williams (Miranda Priestly), Matt Henry (Nigel), Georgie Buckland(Andy), and Amy Di Bartolomeo (Emily) will appear at a signing event at the Dominion Theatre at 2pm on 19 September. Presented by Rough Trade, the event will also include a prosecco reception for attendees aged 18 and over. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and fans are advised to arrive by 2:30pm to guarantee entry.
The cast is rounded out by Rhys Whitfield as Nate, James Darch as Christian, and Debbie Kurup as standby Miranda Priestly, alongside a large and talented ensemble. Casting beyond 18 October will be confirmed soon.
The production’s creative team includes Tim Hatley (set design), Gregg Barnes (costume design), Bruno Poet (lighting design), Gareth Owen (sound design), and Jill Green (casting). The show received four nominations at the 25th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards, including Best New Musical and Best Performer in a Musical for Vanessa Williams.
With its mix of dazzling design, biting wit, and Elton John’s infectious score, The Devil Wears Prada is cementing itself as one of the West End’s most stylish spectacles. The upcoming album signing gives fans a rare chance to meet the stars bringing the fashion world of Runway to life.
