The Book of Mormon Sets Out on a Hilarious UK Tour

The smash-hit, laugh-a-minute musical, The Book of Mormon, is hitting the road again, and this time it’s sweeping across the UK with its cheeky charm and show-stopping numbers.

Strap in for a theatrical joyride starting at Manchester Palace Theatre, where the curtain will rise on the 9th of September 2024 for a four-week run that’s sure to kick things off with a bang. From there, the troupe will take the laughs up to Edinburgh Playhouse for a three-week stint starting 14th October, before bringing down the house at Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre for another four weeks starting on the 2nd of December.

If you’re itching to snag your seats, priority booking is open as of now, and everyone else can join the scramble for tickets starting Friday, 10th November.

For those new to the phenomenon, The Book of Mormon is the brainchild of creative wizards Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, and Matt Stone. It’s a rollicking adventure featuring two Mormon missionaries tossed into the wilds of Uganda, and it’s been a comedic tour de force ever since its grand UK debut back in 2013.

Stay tuned, because the grapevine has it that there’s more juicy news on the horizon – we’re talking additional cities, the faces who’ll be bringing the characters to life, and all that jazz.

The dream team behind this West End sensation includes the dynamic duo of Parker and Casey Nicholaw pulling double duty as co-directors, with Nicholaw also throwing in some of his signature choreography. They’ve got Scott Pask conjuring up the sets, Ann Roth draping the cast in fab threads, Brian Macdevitt playing maestro with the lights, and Brian Ronan making sure every note hits just right. Topping off the glam squad is Josh Marquette on hair design, while Larry Hochman and Stephen Oremus whip up the orchestral magic, with Oremus also overseeing music and vocal arrangements. On the musical direction, we’ve got Colm O’Regan, and the dances are all slicked up by Glen Kelly. And, let’s not forget, Natalie Gallacher from Pippa Ailion Casting is the one we have to thank for assembling this top-notch crew.
