Joining Weaver in this star-studded cast are Jude Akuwudike as Alonso, Jason Barnett as Stephano, Selina Cadell as Gonzalo, and Mathew Horne as Trinculo. Mara Huf plays Miranda, Forbes Masson takes on the role of Caliban, and WhatsOnStage Award nominee Mason Alexander Park portrays Ariel. James Phoon (Bridgerton) stars as Ferdinand, with Oliver Ryan as Sebastian and Tim Steed (Jack Absolute Flies Again) as Antonio.
Jamie Lloyd’s visionary production is supported by a distinguished creative team. Soutra Gilmour leads the design of sets and costumes, while Jon Clark oversees lighting design. Ben and Max Ringham contribute sound design and co-composition, with additional music by Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante. Fabian Aloise directs movement, and Jonathan Glew lends his expertise as associate director and text editor. Following The Tempest, Jamie Lloyd’s season at Theatre Royal Drury Lane continues with Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell starring as Benedick and Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing. This production is set to run from 10 February to 5 April 2025, promising another compelling interpretation of Shakespeare’s work.
