Operation Mincemeat extends Broadway run through February 2027

Operation Mincemeat has extended its Broadway run for the ninth time, with the Olivier Award-winning musical comedy now scheduled to play at the John Golden Theatre through February 14, 2027.

The Broadway production opened on March 20, 2025, following the success of its West End run, where the show became one of London’s most talked-about musical comedies.

Based on the real World War II deception operation of the same name, Operation Mincemeat turns an unlikely wartime intelligence scheme into a fast-paced musical caper. The show is written and composed by U.K. comedy group SpitLip, made up of David Cumming, Felix Hagan, Natasha Hodgson and Zoë Roberts.

The current Broadway cast features Julia Knitel as Ewen Montagu and others, Jeff Kready as Hester Leggatt and others, Brandon Contreras as Charles Cholmondeley and others, Jessi Kirtley as Jean Leslie and others, and Amanda Jill Robinson as Johnny Bevan and others. The understudy company includes Robert Ariza, Allison Guinn, Sam Hartley, Gerianne Pérez and Lexi Rabadi.

The production is directed by Robert Hastie, with choreography by Jenny Arnold. The creative team also includes set and costume designer Ben Stones, lighting designer Mark Henderson, sound designer Mike Walker, orchestrator Steve Sidwell, and music director and supervisor Joe Bunker.

Karen Moore serves as production stage manager, with casting by Carrie Gardner.

The latest extension continues the show’s strong Broadway momentum and gives audiences further opportunity to catch the musical at the John Golden Theatre into early 2027.
