National Theatre at Home brings fresh plays to Aussie screens this winter

The National Theatre in London has invited Australian audiences to curl up with world-class theatre at home this winter, with new plays landing on its streaming platform, National Theatre at Home, every month. The service offers unlimited streaming for subscribers and a growing library of stage captures to watch on demand.

Similar in spirit to National Theatre Live’s cinema broadcasts, NT at Home brings those productions to your living room. It is designed for easy access, perfect for cosy winter viewing, and gives theatre fans a way to keep up with major London productions without the airfare.

Australian pricing shared with us is $18.95 per month or $189 per year. Viewers can also rent individual plays for $14.95 if they prefer.

For a limited time there is 50 percent off the first two months with the code ‘ATHOME‘.

The National Theatre has indicated that media access can be arranged. A trial can be provided so reviewers can explore the platform firsthand. There is also an interview opportunity with the National Theatre’s Director of Digital for those who want to go deeper on how the platform is programmed and produced.

As temperatures drop, NT at Home is a simple way to keep theatre in your life. With fresh titles arriving monthly, there is always something new to discover.
