Natalie Paris and Aimie Atkinson set for Broadway debuts at SIX’s reported 2,000th performance

Four principal engagements are scheduled to begin in SIX at Broadway’s Lena Horne Theatre on 17 August 2026, according to casting reports from Broadway.com and Playbill. Original West End company members Natalie Paris and Aimie Atkinson are due to begin alongside Chloe Tucker Caine and Stephanie Jae Park at the listed 7pm New York performance. The appointments were announced in July, making the immediate development their scheduled curtain-up rather than a new casting announcement. Together, the arrivals comprise three Broadway debutants and one returning Broadway performer. Their start also falls on the date Broadway.com identifies as the production’s 2,000th Broadway performance.

From that performance, Caine is set to play Anne Boleyn, Paris Jane Seymour, Atkinson Katherine Howard and Park Catherine Parr. Khaila Wilcoxon remains Catherine of Aragon, while Olivia Donalson continues as Anna of Cleves. With Wilcoxon and Donalson staying, four of the six principal roles are changing rather than the entire line-up.

All four arrivals share a start date, but their announced runs are different lengths. Atkinson is due to give her final performance at the 31 October 2026 matinee, and Paris is announced through 13 December 2026. Caine and Park are both announced through 14 February 2027. Among the quartet, Atkinson therefore has the earliest stated departure, while Caine and Park have the latest published end date.

The transatlantic return belongs specifically to Paris and Atkinson. Paris originated Jane Seymour and Atkinson originated Katherine Howard in the original West End company, and both received Olivier Award nominations for their performances. Their original-cast status is West End, not Broadway; this engagement brings two members of that company into the New York line-up, not the whole original group. Both are scheduled to make Broadway debuts in the roles they created. Paris has previously performed in the United States on the national tour of SIX, so this is her Broadway debut rather than her first American engagement with the musical.

Caine is the third Broadway debutant, and her route back to musical theatre differs from the two West End originators. Her earlier stage work includes the national tour of MAMMA MIA!, CHASING THE SONG and the Off-Broadway solo show DEATH OF THE MOON. She later moved into luxury real estate and television through Netflix’s OWNING MANHATTAN. The Anne Boleyn engagement will return her to musical theatre, but it is not her first professional stage credit.

Park brings the opposite Broadway profile. Her credits include THE KING AND I, WAR PAINT and HAMILTON, making her the only member of the incoming quartet with previous Broadway appearances. For Park, the Catherine Parr engagement is a return to Broadway rather than a debut.

The casting came in two waves: Caine and Park were announced on 7 July, followed by Paris and Atkinson on 14 July. The exits around the handover were spread across August. Kirstin Maldonado gave her final Anne Boleyn performance on 9 August; Jasmine Forsberg and Abigail Barlow finished as Jane Seymour and Katherine Howard respectively on 16 August. The latter two departures came one day before the scheduled starts of Paris and Atkinson, while the named Boleyn dates are separated by more than a week. The August appointments also follow a separate Broadway cast cycle covered by AussieTheatre in February 2026.

Catherine Parr’s succession is less clearly documented. Broadway.com’s 7 July report described Park as replacing Aiyana Smash, who was then performing the role, while Playbill connected Park‘s arrival to Anna Uzele‘s July departure. The difference may reflect interim coverage, but neither report supplies a complete sequence. The direct handover therefore remains unresolved.

The reported milestone belongs to a Broadway chronology interrupted by the shutdown. SIX began previews in 2020, returned in September 2021 and officially opened on 3 October 2021. References to a Broadway run beginning in 2020 concern the preview period; that date is not interchangeable with the 2021 opening. Broadway.com places performance number 2,000 on 17 August, but no accessible producer-issued breakdown explains whether pre-shutdown previews are included in the total. SIX has book, music and lyrics by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. Moss co-directs the Broadway production with Jamie Armitage, and Carrie-Anne Ingrouille is the choreographer. The production won the 2022 Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Costume Design of a Musical.

The cast change also creates a screen-to-stage connection. SIX: THE MUSICAL LIVE!, featuring the original West End cast including Paris and Atkinson, opened in United States cinemas on 14 August 2026, three days before their scheduled Broadway debuts. Broadway.com reported that the live capture had previously been released in Australia and the United Kingdom. Its American release therefore lands in the same week as the pair’s scheduled New York starts, while Australian audiences had received the film earlier.
