Mrs Doubtfire musical announces 2023 West End run

Mrs Doubtfire is a musical based on the 1993 movie of the same name. It follows a father who transforms himself into a nanny to spend more time with his children during a custody battle. The musical explores themes of love, family, and the lengths we go to stay connected with those we care about.

The much-anticipated West End production of Mrs. Doubtfire has finally revealed its full cast, and it’s a star-studded line-up that’s sure to captivate audiences! Leading the show will be Gabriel Vick, known for his incredible performance in Avenue Q, who will be joined by Laura Tebbutt from School of Rock, Carla Dixon-Hernandez from Matilda the Musical, and Cameron Blakely from Newsies.

But that’s not all! The talented Marcus Collins, who wowed audiences in Kinky Boots, will be playing the role of Andre, while Samuel Edwards, who starred in Anything Goes, will be taking on the role of Stuart Dunmire. Ian Talbot, who directed The Mousetrap, will also be making an appearance as Mr. Jolly, alongside Kelly Agbowu from Sylvia as Wanda Sellner.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there! The rest of the cast includes a talented group of actors, including Nicole Carlisle, Joshua Dever, Joseph Dockree, Rebecca Donnelly, Amy Everett, Maria Garrett, Kiera Haynes, Vicki Lee Taylor, Adam Lyons, Lisa Mathieson, Corey Mitchell, Ellie Mitchell, Matt Overfield, Rhys Owen, Christopher Parkinson, Micha Richardson, Tom Scanlon, Paulo Teixeira, and Samuel Wilson-Freeman.

But that’s not all – the child cast is equally as impressive, with Max Bispham, Elliot Mugume, and Frankie Treadaway alternating the role of Christopher Hillard, while Scarlett Davies, Angelica-Pearl Scott, and Ava Posniak will be alternating the role of Natalie Hillard.

This highly-anticipated production had a successful preview run in Manchester last autumn and is set to open in the West End on May 12th, with a press night on June 22nd. And if that’s not enough, the show will also be making its first UK television appearance on Comic Relief on March 17th, adding to the excitement and anticipation!

With original music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick and a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, Mrs. Doubtfire is sure to be a hit with audiences of all ages. The production boasts an incredible creative team, with direction by Tony winner Jerry Zaks, choreography by Lorin Latarro, and music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Ethan Popp.

Scenic design is by David Korins, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Philip S Rosenberg, sound design by Brian Ronan, and hair design by David Brian Brown, making this production a feast for the eyes and ears!
