Megan Thee Stallion has announced she will depart the Broadway production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical earlier than planned, bringing her run to a close on May 1.

The Grammy-winning artist had been performing in the hit musical at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, with her engagement originally scheduled to continue through May 17. Her early exit comes two weeks ahead of that date, marking a sudden end to what had been a high-profile crossover into musical theatre.

In a message shared with fans, Megan expressed gratitude for the experience, describing her time on Broadway as an honour. The announcement follows closely behind confirmation that Megan has ended her relationship with Klay Thompson after nearly a year together. In a public statement, she cited issues of trust and respect as the reason for the split, indicating that the relationship had reached a point where it could not continue.

Her departure also comes in the wake of a recent health scare during her Broadway run. Last month, the performer was forced to leave mid-performance and was later hospitalised.
