Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis Assemble Star-Studded Cast for WARRIORS Musical Album

Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis have announced an impressive lineup for their upcoming WARRIORS musical album, bringing together a talented group of voices to bring their vision to life. Among the star-studded cast are Marc Anthony, Luis Figueroa, Flaco Navaja, and Chris Rivers, each taking on key roles in the project.

Revealed on Thursday, August 15, Marc Anthony will be voicing the character Tato, while Luis Figueroa is set to play Miguel. Flaco Navaja takes on the role of Jesús, and Chris Rivers will be known as “The Bronx.” Fans can expect even more casting announcements soon.

WARRIORS features 26 tracks that follow a fictional New York City gang framed for the murder of a respected leader named Cyrus. The album draws inspiration from the 1979 cult-classic film The Warriors and the original novel by Sol Yurick.

Miranda and Davis, who co-wrote the album, shared their excitement about the project, noting that they’ve spent the last three years bringing the Warriors’ journey from the South Bronx to Coney Island to life through music. They’ve collaborated with some of their favorite artists and are eager to share the full album with listeners on October 18.

The album also boasts a powerhouse production team. Grammy Award winner Nas is on board as executive producer, lending his deep New York City roots to the project, while Grammy winner Mike Elizondo serves as the album’s producer.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is a renowned composer, lyricist, and actor, best known for creating and starring in the groundbreaking Broadway musical Hamilton. Born and raised in New York City, Miranda has become a cultural icon, blending his passion for storytelling with a deep love for music. His work on Hamilton earned him a Pulitzer Prize, multiple Tony Awards, and a Grammy, and the cast recording became the first Broadway album to be certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America. Eisa Davis, a prolific actor, writer, and singer-songwriter, has also made her mark with her work on stage and screen. She was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for her play Bulrusher and has contributed to popular TV series like Netflix’s She’s Gotta Have It and FX’s Justified: City Primeval.
