Les Misérables: The Arena Concert Spectacular Announces Star Cast for New York Run at Radio City Music Hall

Casting has been announced for Les Misérables: The Arena Concert Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall, with Alfie Boe, Samantha Barks and a host of international Les Mis favourites set to lead the production during its limited New York engagement this summer. The concert run will play from 23 July to 9 August 2026, marking the world tour’s only North American stop.

The newly revealed principal cast brings together performers closely associated with the musical across stage, concert and screen versions. Alfie Boe, Killian Donnelly and Gerónimo Rauch will alternate in the role of Jean Valjean, while Bradley Jaden and Jeremy Secomb will share the role of Javert. Samantha Barks has been cast as Fantine, returning to the world of Les Misérables after previously playing Éponine in both the film adaptation and the 25th anniversary concert.

The supporting company further underscores the event status of the production. Matt Lucas will play Thénardier, Australian theatre favourite Marina Prior will appear as Madame Thénardier, Jac Yarrow will play Marius, Beatrice Penny-Touré will play Cosette, Shan Ako will take on Éponine and Christian Mark Gibbs will appear as Enjolras. Producers have also confirmed that more casting is still to be announced.

The production is billed as an arena-scale presentation of Boublil and Schönberg’s landmark musical, featuring a company of more than 65 cast and orchestra members. Its New York season will serve as the North American premiere of the touring concert, which has already played to audiences around the world. Radio City Music Hall has described the engagement as a limited summer run, with performances scheduled across just over two weeks.

Producer Cameron Mackintosh said he was delighted to unveil what he described as a wonderful line-up of international Les Misérables stars for the final dates of the arena world tour, including the major New York stop at Radio City. The announcement positions the engagement as a marquee event for musical theatre fans, bringing together several of the franchise’s best-known names in one of the world’s most iconic venues.

With its combination of legacy casting, large-scale concert staging and a one-off North American engagement, Les Misérables: The Arena Concert Spectacular is shaping up to be one of New York’s major musical events of the summer.
