Kim Kardashian to Make Broadway Producing Debut With The Fear of 13

Kim Kardashian is heading to Broadway, this time as a producer.

The reality star, entrepreneur and criminal justice advocate has joined the producing team behind The Fear of 13, a new stage production starring Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson. The play centres on the story of Nick Yarris, who spent 22 years on death row after a wrongful conviction before being exonerated through DNA evidence in 2003.

Kardashian announced her involvement on social media, framing the project as a natural extension of her long-running commitment to criminal justice reform. She said the story resonated deeply with her because it highlights the devastating human cost of systemic failure, and she expressed hope that bringing it to the stage would encourage audiences to think more seriously about what justice really means.

Adapted from the 2015 documentary of the same name, The Fear of 13 explores Yarris’s wrongful imprisonment and the institutional breakdowns that kept him behind bars for decades. Kardashian described the play as an unflinching and emotionally powerful account of a case that speaks to broader failures within the justice system. She also said she was proud to make her Broadway producing debut with a work carrying such serious social weight.

The project brings together two increasingly visible sides of Kardashian’s public life, her advocacy work and her growing interest in performance. In recent years, she has become one of the highest-profile celebrity voices in criminal justice reform, while also stepping further into acting. Last year, she appeared in Ryan Murphy’s All’s Fair, alongside Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Teyana Taylor, Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash-Betts.

Her co-stars on that series have spoken positively about her work ethic and discipline, particularly as she balanced filming with business commitments and her legal studies. Sarah Paulson noted that Kardashian was managing an unusually demanding schedule while remaining fully engaged on set, while Naomi Watts praised her focus, punctuality and ability to learn quickly.

Now, with The Fear of 13, Kardashian is taking on a different role in the entertainment world, helping bring a fact-based, socially driven story to a Broadway audience. With Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson leading the cast, the production is already attracting significant attention, not only because of its high-profile team, but because of the urgent real-life case at its centre.

The move marks another unexpected but strategic expansion of Kardashian’s career, placing her within Broadway at a moment when the industry continues to embrace projects with both star power and social relevance.
