Keri René Fuller and Emma Flynn Join Wicked on Broadway This Spring

New leading ladies are set to take flight in Broadway’s long running hit Wicked this spring, with Keri René Fuller and Emma Flynn joining the cast at the Gershwin Theatre from March 3.

Fuller, who currently serves as the Elphaba standby, will step into the role full time, while Flynn will make her Broadway debut as Glinda. They replace Lencia Kebede and Allie Trimm, who will play their final performances as Elphaba and Glinda on March 1.

Fuller’s Broadway credits include SIX, Jagged Little Pill, and Waitress. She has also appeared off Broadway in The Last Bimbo of the Apocalypse and starred as Grizabella on the national tour of Cats.

Flynn recently led the West End production of Clueless in the role of Cher. Her previous stage work includes U.S. regional productions of Guys and Dolls, Beautiful, and Legally Blonde.

Now in its 23rd year on Broadway, Wicked is currently the fourth longest running show in Broadway history. The musical is based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello, with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.

The Broadway milestone comes as Wicked continues its successful expansion on screen. The film adaptation starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande opened in November 2024 and became the highest grossing film ever based on a Broadway musical. Its sequel, Wicked: For Good, released in November 2025, currently ranks as the third highest grossing film adaptation of a Broadway show.

With new stars stepping into its iconic roles, Wicked shows no signs of slowing down as it continues to defy gravity on Broadway.
